3. Find/Search
There are three ways to search for items on Trading Post Mobile.
Keyword - enter keywords directly into the search field, remember to use common terms or abbreviations that describe the item you are looking for.
Browse - click on the Automotive or General Merchandise icons on the home page and browse the categories for items of interest.
Detailed search - To help narrow down your search results, choose a keyword, category, price range and location.
4. Bidding on Auctions
Before you place your bid, remember to check the item details, payment and delivery options and the seller's feedback. When you place a bid, specify the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item and make sure you're comfortable with that amount.
Auto-bidding automatically places incremental bids on your behalf that are just high enough to beat the maximum bid placed by any other bidder.
When you bid, you are obligated to purchase the item at the final price if you are the winning bidder and pay for and receive the item using the payment and delivery options accepted by the seller.
5. Withdrawing bids
Bids may be withdrawn only within 1 hour of a bid being placed or if a buyer has accidentally typed in an incorrect bid amount. You will have to go online to withdraw your bid. To withdraw a bid for any other reason, you must contact the seller online. See Withdrawing bids in online Help for details.
6. Buy Now
When you Buy Now, you enter into an agreement with the seller to purchase the item at the advertised price. Make sure you check the sellers payment and delivery options before making your purchase. Once you click on Commit to Buy, you will need to complete your purchase online at www.tradingpost.com.au.
7. Classified Ads
Classified ads on Trading Post will contain the seller's contact details. Classified items cannot be purchased online, and you cannot place bids on them. Contact the seller directly to inspect the item and negotiate the price, payment and delivery details.
